Most of you who know me already know that I was born in Russia and have lived in America for 8 years.

I was born in the Russian city of Vladimir (3 hours south east of Moscow) in what most of you would call an unusual place to be born-prison. According to Russian documents, my father, Raul committed a crime and wanted my mother, Nina to take his blame on herself in order to serve his term. At the time of her improsonment, she was 5 months pregnant with me. After giving me birth I stayed with her (she was able to see me only once a day to breast feed) for about 8 months untill I was able to be fed and taken care of without her involvment. Since that day when I was physically separated from Nina my journey to many different orphanages began.

I vividly remember my life in orphanages but I often get confused with them because there were too many where I stayed-but now for long. In correspondence with my biological grandmother Lydia, I was told that the government wanted to transport me to various orphanges in order to make my mother and grandmother's search more difficult. In one accasion, my grandmother was only 30 minutes away from an orphanage called Lyahi where I stayed when she was told that they did not know about my whereabouts. But in reality the administration of the Murom Orpahange knew that I was in another orphanage in a village next door. The hope of one day finding me suddently vanished for my grandmother simply because of that minor missinformation.
